Polizia Locale Appennino Reggiano to host exhibition at San Michele Fair

The Polizia Locale Appennino Reggiano, in collaboration with the Provincial Local Police, will host an exhibition gazebo at the San Michele Fair in Castelnovo Monti. Located in front of the Command on via Dante Alighieri, the display aims to showcase the tools used by officers in their daily duties.

Visitors can examine equipment such as breathalyzers, drones, and accident investigation tools. The exhibition will feature special service vehicles, including a new Subaru Forester equipped with 4x4 traction and a security cell for transporting detainees, funded by a regional grant. Additionally, a new mobile office shared by the local and provincial police will be on display, which is also equipped to transport canine units.

Interactive activities are planned for children, who can experience being “poliziotti per un giorno” (police officers for a day) by boarding the vehicles. For adults, free breathalyzer tests will be available alongside educational materials regarding road safety and the consequences of driving under the influence. On Sunday afternoon, the Lupo K9 canine unit, trained in drug detection, will also be present at the stand.
