Poll Finds 20% of Florida Hispanic Trump Voters Would Not Repeat Vote, Latino Support for Democrats Stagnates
A UnidosUS poll of Florida Hispanic voters shows that 20% of those who backed President Donald Trump in 2024 say they would not vote for him again. Overall, 51% of Florida Hispanics disapprove of Trump’s performance, while 41% approve. The same survey indicates strong concern—72%—that Congress is ceding too much power to the executive branch, especially among Cuban Americans (64%). In the state's gubernatorial and Senate races, Republican candidates lead among Hispanic voters.
A separate national poll of 3,000 Hispanic registered voters finds that 54% intend to support Democratic House candidates, unchanged from the 2024 midterms, while 27% favor Republicans and 19% remain undecided. Among Latino Trump supporters, 25% say they probably would not vote for him again, though 75% still lean toward voting for him. In Texas, 51% of Latino voters either plan or lean toward Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico, compared with 24% for Republican Ken Paxton. Favorability ratings show 60% of Latinos view congressional Democrats positively versus 34% for Republicans.
