Pollino National Park hosts Carabinieri leadership meeting and cultural festival

General Fabrizio Parrulli, commander of the Carabinieri Forestry, Environmental and Agri-food Unit (CUFAA), met with commanders of Italy's Park Carabinieri units at the Pollino National Park. The meeting focused on operational coordination across 20 units responsible for safeguarding 1,328,000 hectares of protected biodiversity throughout the Italian peninsula.

In a separate regional development, the Pollino Sybaris event is scheduled from October 2 to 4. This itinerant festival connects the Pollino National Park with the Sibaritide region through a program of music, nature, and archaeological heritage. Organized by the social enterprise Catasta, the event features hiking, cycling, guided tours, and concerts designed to promote sustainable tourism and connect local communities with the territory's natural and historical sites.
