Pollmann Group applies for restructuring of three Austrian companies

Three companies within the Pollmann Group, an automotive supplier, have applied for restructuring proceedings at the Krems Regional Court. The affected entities are Pollmann International GmbH, Pollmann Austria GmbH, and Pollmann Werkzeugbau GmbH, all headquartered in Karlstein an der Thaya, Lower Austria.

The total debt for these three companies is reported at 74 million euros. Approximately 500 employees are affected by the proceedings. The company stated that production is continuing and that they aim to maintain the majority of the workforce, explicitly noting that a “Kahlschlag” (mass layoff) is not planned.

Management indicated that restructuring efforts have been underway for some time, involving leadership changes, the consolidation of locations to Karlstein, and the sale of non-essential real estate. The group reported that investor negotiations are at an advanced stage. Foreign subsidiaries in China, Mexico, and the Czech Republic, as well as Maxxom Automation GmbH, are not affected by these Austrian proceedings.
