Polo Anderson provides update on Clemson injury recovery
Clemson University freshman defensive back Polo Anderson has provided an update on his recovery following a season-ending injury. Anderson, a highly recruited safety from Spartanburg, South Carolina, suffered a torn ACL during a punt drill in fall camp.
Anderson revealed on social media that he has undergone two surgeries in four months, including a tightrope surgery for a high ankle sprain and the subsequent ACL repair. He noted that the process has been mentally testing but expressed determination to return to the field.
Head coach Dabo Swinney previously described the injury as a “clean tear” and noted that Anderson was positioned to be a significant contributor for the team this season. Recovery for such injuries typically spans nine to twelve months.
