Polo: Las Monjitas reaches Jockey Club final after upset

In the first semifinal of the Abierto de Jockey Club, Las Monjitas secured a 16-15 victory over La Natividad-La Dolfina in extra time. This win allows Las Monjitas to advance to the final to face La Irenita.

Separately, the Argentine Polo Association (AAP) has announced the structure for the 2026 Triple Crown, which includes the Hurlingham, Tortugas, and Palermo Opens. During the presentation, AAP President Benjamín Araya noted that the start dates for the Palermo Open will be adjusted to avoid conflict with the visit of Pope Leo XIV to Argentina. Additionally, the association announced that free tickets will no longer be provided for the initial matches of the Argentino Open to help cover rising production costs.

The tournament groupings for the Palermo Open have been established, with defending champion La Natividad-La Dolfina seeded in Group A and runner-up Ellerstina-Indios Chapaleufú seeded in Group B.
