Polonez supermarket chain reaches €98.3 million in revenue

The Polonez supermarket chain, controlled by Moldovan entrepreneur Adrian Rezmeriță, reported revenues of €98.3 million for its latest financial year, marking a 14% increase compared to the previous year. The company, operating via Tempside Limited, serves Eastern European communities in Ireland, including significant Romanian and Moldovan diaspora populations.

As of the fiscal year ending August 2025, the group operated 41 stores in the Republic of Ireland, with 22 located in Dublin, and five stores in Northern Ireland. Four new units were opened during 2025. The company's revenue stream is split between retail sales, which account for approximately 80% of turnover, and wholesale distribution, which generates 19.8%.

Despite the revenue growth, pre-tax profit saw a slight decrease of approximately €207,000 from the prior year. The company attributed this decline to rising costs associated with opening new stores, wages, energy, and distribution.
