Polonia Bytom gears up with hockey sparring series and a 2‑2 football draw

Polonia Bytom's ice‑hockey squad, coached by Andrei Gusov, announced a series of free sparring matches to prepare for the upcoming season. The games will be held at the Braci Nikodemowicz arena in August and early September against JKH GKS Jastrzębie, Cracovia, HC Bobri (Czech Republic) and KH Energa Toruń, with live streams on the Live Arena Sports platform. Top scorer Andrei Buyalsky, who finished among the league’s TOP 5 scorers with 19 goals, will feature in the fixtures.

In football, Polonia Bytom opened the third round of the Betclic 1. Liga with a 2‑2 draw against Pogonia Siedlce. Both goals for the visitors were netted by Maciej Rosołek. Polonia equalised twice, first through a corner‑kick finish by Kamil Orlik and later via a late effort, but could not secure a win. The match took place in Bytom and ended without a decisive result.
