Polsat Plus Group announces major expansion of Plus network

Polsat Plus Group has announced a major expansion and modernization of its Plus network through a strategic partnership with Cellnex/Towerlink. The project aims to improve coverage, connection quality, and the speed and stability of 5G internet services for both individual and business customers.

The initiative involves launching over 5,000 new broadcasting stations and replacing equipment at all existing base stations with new technology. The group intends to use hardware exclusively from European companies, specifically Ericsson and Nokia.

This expansion will allow Plus to utilize additional 5G frequencies on a large scale, including the 3600 MHz and 700 MHz bands. By leveraging these frequencies alongside its existing 2600 MHz and 2100 MHz capabilities, the operator aims to provide comprehensive 5G coverage across Poland, including urban and rural areas.
