Polskie Forum HR proposes reforms to Polish foreign labor procedures
Polskie Forum HR (PFHR) has proposed a series of reforms aimed at streamlining the legalization of work and residence for foreigners in Poland. To reduce the burden on provincial offices and shorten decision wait times, the organization suggests transferring the authority to issue work permits to district labor offices.
Key proposals from PFHR include the creation of an ‘Electronic Profile of Legal Stay and Work for Foreigners,’ a digital tool designed to allow employers to verify a foreigner's residency status. Additionally, the group advocates for the introduction of a ‘Trusted Employer’ status for businesses that demonstrate consistent legal compliance, regardless of their size. The reform package also suggests allowing foreigners who have lost their legal right to stay to regularize their status within the country without being forced to leave first.
