Polyarc shuts down after twelve years of development

Polyarc, the Seattle-based developer behind the acclaimed Moss VR franchise, has announced it is shutting down and winding down active development. The announcement, made via LinkedIn, marks the end of nearly twelve years of operation for the studio.

Founded in 2015, Polyarc gained recognition for its immersive virtual reality titles, including Moss (2018), Moss II, and its most recent release, Moss: The Forgotten Relic. The studio's team included developers with experience on major titles such as Destiny, Halo, Red Dead Redemption, and Guild Wars.

In a final message to players and staff, the company stated, “Bringing surprise and delight to those who played our games has been a privilege. Thank you to everyone at Polyarc, our work is now finished.” The studio is currently assisting its employees in finding new opportunities by providing links to job resources.
