Polyphia announces new album ‘BE NOT AFRAID’ and tour delay

Instrumental rock band Polyphia has announced their fifth studio album, ‘BE NOT AFRAID’, scheduled for release on October 23 via Rise Records. To accompany the announcement, the group released a new single, ‘POWER IN THE BLOOD’, along with a music video directed by Caleb Young. The video was filmed at the São Francisco da Penitência Church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Recording sessions for the album took place throughout 2024 and 2025 in Miami, Los Angeles, and Dallas, involving co-producer RJ Pasin and guitarist Spiro Dussias. The band utilized a more collaborative songwriting approach for this project compared to previous albums. Guitarist Tim Henson noted that the album explores deep, complex layers and addresses themes of finding beauty amidst a dark or depraved world.

Additionally, the band has announced that their North American tour, originally planned for later this year, has been postponed to early 2027. The rescheduled tour is set to begin in February 2027, featuring Ladrones and RJ Pasin. All previously purchased tickets remain valid for the new dates.
