Polyphony Digital appears to be ramping up development for a new entry in the Gran Turismo series, potentially Gran Turismo 8. While an official announcement has not been made, recent job listings from the Tokyo-based studio suggest significant expansion in several key departments.

The studio is actively recruiting for various roles, including online infrastructure engineers, racing game programmers, CG artists, producers, and AI specialists. Notably, a job posting for a vehicle simulation programmer specifies that the role involves improving the series' simulation engine and recreating the unique mechanical properties of individual cars, hinting at a focus on increased realism and physics.

Given that the last numbered installment was released in 2022, these recruitment efforts align with previous indications that the studio is seeking personnel for new production. Industry speculation suggests the next title could arrive around 2028 or coincide with the franchise's 30th anniversary.
