Pomeranian Literary Award ‘Wiatr od morza’ announces nominations

The nominations for the ninth edition of the Pomeranian Literary Award, ‘Wiatr od morza’, have been announced. The award recognizes books about the Pomerania region or works written by authors residing there.

In the Literary Book of the Year category, nominees include Stefan Chwin for ‘Gombrowicz i dusza polska’, Marek Górlikowski for ‘Ilustrator. Przygody ojca Koziołka Matołka tylko dla dorosłych’, Monika Ksieniewicz-Mil for ‘Mira. Kobieta światowa. Opowieść o Mirze Michałowskiej’, Diana Lenart for ‘Mitochondrium’, and Maciej Siembieda for ‘Gołoborze’.

The Pomeranian Book of the Year category features Aneta Kwiatkowska for ‘Ulotne Wolne Miasto Gdańsk. Leksykon’, Piotr Laskowski and Wojciech Wółkowski for ‘Conrada Steinbrechta pruskie zamki biskupie i kapitulne’, Tomasz Słomczyński for ‘Delta. Przez Żuławy’, and Magdalena Starega for ‘Uśpione miasto: Gdańsk i jego architektura w latach 1793–1862’.

The winner will be announced on September 28, accompanied by a literary evening with the nominated authors.
