Pomerode prepares for Osterfest 2027 and Pomerlamm Fest

The city of Pomerode, Santa Catarina, is preparing for significant cultural events that highlight its German heritage. The Osterfest 2027 is scheduled to take place from February 18 to April 4, 2027, at the Centro Cultural de Pomerode. The festival will operate from Thursday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 20:00, featuring traditional German decorations, Easter-themed attractions, and the giant Easter egg known as the ‘Osterbaum’.

Additionally, the 15th edition of the Pomerlamm Fest, also known as the Festa do Borrego, is organized by the Associação Criadores do Testo. The event is set for August 14 to 16, 2026, and aims to preserve the connection between the local population and rural life. The festival features traditional German gastronomy, lamb-based dishes, animal exhibitions, and a space called ‘Antigamente Era Assim’ which recreates the daily life and customs of the region's colonizing families.
