Pomigliano d’Arco merchant reported for death threats against shoplifters
A 35-year-old Chinese shop owner in Pomigliano d’Arco, near Naples, has been reported to the authorities after displaying threatening signs in his home goods store. The signs, placed among the shelves and visible to customers, contained explicit messages intended to deter theft.
One of the messages stated, “Whoever steals, your whole family will be killed.” Following reports from concerned citizens, local police inspected the premises, seized the documents, and identified the owner. The merchant has been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Nola on charges of aggravated threats.
The incident follows a reported increase in small-scale thefts in the area, which has reportedly led some local business owners to adopt extreme measures to protect their property.
