Pominpro and FlixBus launch interprovincial bus service in Peru

Pominpro, a company under Grupo Polo, has announced the launch of its interprovincial passenger transport service in Peru. In partnership with the German technology platform FlixBus, the service is scheduled to begin operations on Friday, September 25, departing from the Plaza Los Olivos Land Terminal in Lima.

The initial route will connect Lima and Trujillo, including a stop in Chimbote. While Pominpro will manage operations using its own buses and professional drivers, the service will integrate FlixBus technology for digital ticket sales, real-time trip monitoring, and centralized customer support.

To enhance safety, FlixBus will provide technological devices for the buses designed to monitor driver alertness and prevent alcohol consumption. Promotional fares are currently available through the FlixBus website and mobile app, with physical points of sale expected to be enabled soon at terminals in Lima, Chimbote, and Trujillo.
