Pompei officials plan water infrastructure and Sarno River restoration

The Mayor of Pompei, Giuseppe Tortora, met with Luca Mascolo, president of the Ente Idrico Campano (EIC), to establish strategic planning for water resource management and territorial restoration. The collaboration involves the municipality, EIC, and the manager Gori to implement regional sustainability projects.

Key initiatives include the ‘Energie per il Sarno’ program, which aims to accelerate the decontamination of the Sarno River basin through sewage network completion and enhanced purification. Additionally, the ‘Azioni per l’Acqua’ program will focus on reducing water loss and digitalizing the city's aqueduct network to ensure a more efficient and continuous service.
