Pompeii hosts cultural and educational events in October

The Pompeii Archaeological Park will host several initiatives in October 2026 focused on education, tradition, and peace.

On October 14, the Casa delle Nozze d’Argento will host ‘Pomona a Pompei,’ an event dedicated to the quince harvest and the preservation of the surrounding agricultural landscape. Organized in collaboration with Agros S. r. l., the program includes guided tours of the domus, fruit harvesting, and workshops on making quince preserves. The event also features beekeeping demonstrations and educational activities aimed at teaching sustainability and biodiversity to local schools.

Additionally, on October 11, the park will participate in the ‘Giornata della Meraviglia’ (Day of Wonder) to support children affected by war. As a symbolic gesture for peace, the Casina dell’Aquila will be illuminated in amaranth. The initiative, promoted by the association ‘Per far Sorridere il Cielo,’ aims to use the concept of wonder as a tool for hope and peace-building for children living in conflict zones.
