Ponferrada hosts employment fair and railway modeling exhibition

Ponferrada recently hosted two significant local events. The fifth edition of the Bierzo Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Fair took place at the Railway Museum, featuring approximately 100 job offers from 47 participating organizations. The event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Junta de Castilla y León, covered nine sectors including industry, construction, technology, and healthcare. The initiative aimed to connect companies with job seekers, with a specific outreach effort directed toward individuals under the age of 30.

Separately, a railway modeling exhibition at La Térmica Cultural attracted over 2,500 visitors. The display, created by more than 70 members of the Club Ibérico de Módulos H0, featured 243 meters of track. Local officials noted that the exhibition contributed to high hotel occupancy rates in Ponferrada and the surrounding Bierzo region, supporting the city's strategy to promote inland tourism.
