Spanish municipalities implement special services for All Saints' Day

Various municipalities across Spain are activating special transport, security, and cemetery services to accommodate the high influx of visitors for the All Saints' Day holiday on November 1.

In Alicante, the local government has deployed over 200 personnel from the Local Police and Civil Protection to manage traffic and security. Public transport will see reinforced frequencies on specific lines, including free shuttle services between the cemetery gates and certain points on October 31 and November 1.

In Valencia, cemeteries will operate under special hours from 09:00 to 18:00. The EMT Valencia will activate special lines, including SE1 and SE2, to connect the city center with the General Cemetery and the crematorium.

Other regions are also preparing: Ponferrada is increasing bus frequencies toward the municipal cemetery and deploying 15 police officers per shift. Santa Pola and Torrevieja are offering free bus services to their respective cemeteries, while Benifaió has scheduled free shuttles and extended cemetery visiting hours to facilitate tomb cleaning and visits.
