Ponferrada Socialists propose discounts for La Encina museum and viewpoint

The Socialist Group of Ponferrada has proposed a motion to implement discounts and free access days for the Sacred Art Museum and the viewpoint of the Basilica of La Encina. The initiative seeks to align these sites with the city's municipal museum policies, following a public investment of over 507,000 euros funded by European resources.

The proposal includes a 50% discount for students, youth, unemployed individuals, retirees, and pilgrims. Additionally, it suggests free entry for children under 14, people with disabilities and their companions, local schoolchildren, teachers, and official guides. The motion also calls for one free access day per week for all visitors.

Furthermore, the Socialist Group has requested access to the management agreement between the Diocese of Astorga and the Las Edades del Hombre Foundation to clarify the economic and administrative obligations involved in the site's management.
