Ponferrada University Campus celebrates 30 years of academic excellence

The Ponferrada University Campus celebrated its 30th anniversary during the opening of the new academic year. Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones, the Counselor for Industry, Universities, Employment, and Commerce, described the campus as a center of excellence and a regional reference point.

With over 1,000 students, the campus focuses on Health Sciences, Engineering, and the Environment. A new Polyclinic is planned to be completed by 2029, which will feature practical classes and healthcare assistance to support local medical studies and the growing regional hospital.
