Pongsakorn Sripirom leaves Reggio BIC after five years

Pongsakorn Sripirom, the captain of the Italian basketball club Reggio BIC, is leaving the team after five years to return to Thailand to focus on his studies. Known by the nickname ‘Baz’, Sripirom arrived in Reggio Calabria at age 22 and developed into a key leader and versatile athlete under the guidance of coach Antonio Cugliandro.

During his tenure, Sripirom contributed to several major milestones for the club, most notably captaining the team to the EuroCup 2 IWBF championship in 2026. His career with the club also included reaching the EuroCup 3 IWBF final in Turkey in 2025, a semi-final appearance in the Italian Scudetto, and participating in the Coppa Italia Final Four.
