Pons memecoin platform generates $5.95M in daily fees on Robinhood Chain

Pons, a memecoin launchpad on the Robinhood Chain, has seen significant growth, generating $5.95 million in fees on September 2. This volume exceeded that of several major protocols, including Pump, Hyperliquid, and the Robinhood Chain itself.

The platform allows users to deploy tradable tokens for approximately $1. It utilizes a fee-sharing model where 70% of the 1% transaction fee goes to the token creator and 30% goes to the protocol. Pons uses its share of the fees to buy back and burn its native $PONS governance token, resulting in the destruction of 29% of the original supply within two months.

Operating as a layer-2 solution that settles to Ethereum, the Robinhood Chain was launched in July. While designed for tokenized stocks and DeFi applications, memecoin activity via Pons has become a primary driver of network traffic. The platform recently upgraded to V2, incorporating bonding curves that transition to Uniswap v4 pools and supporting various quote assets such as ETH and stablecoins.
