Pont-Saint-Esprit hosts 10th Rencontres Photographiques

The 10th edition of the Rencontres Photographiques is being held in Pont-Saint-Esprit from September 26 to October 4, 2026. This anniversary year coincides with the 200th anniversary of photography.

The event features work from 17 photographers. Eleven artists will exhibit at the Prieuré Saint-Pierre, while six others will display works in various public spaces throughout the city center, including Place Marcet and the courtyard of the Cazerne.

Programming includes workshops and interactive sessions, such as an experience with the ‘Afghan Box’—an ancient black-and-white photographic process—and street photography classes. Additionally, the La Scène-Chapelle theater will host film projections of various artist series.
