Ponta Grossa and Jaguariaíva celebrate municipal anniversaries

The cities of Ponta Grossa and Jaguariaíva are celebrating their anniversaries on Tuesday, September 15. In Ponta Grossa, the 203rd anniversary includes a civic parade on Avenida Vicente Machado in the morning and a free concert at Cine-Teatro Ópera in the evening featuring the Banda Lyra dos Campos and the Ponta Grossa Symphony Orchestra.

Due to the holiday, public services, commerce, and transport in Ponta Grossa will face schedule changes. Traffic restrictions are expected in the central region during the morning parade. In Jaguariaíva, celebrations include a thanksgiving mass, with additional cultural activities scheduled for the following Saturday.

Additionally, the Vila Velha State Park will host a health-focused event called ‘Turma do Cuidado,’ organized by Unimed Ponta Grossa. The initiative offers health screenings, recreational activities for children, and special park admission rates for Unimed clients. Visitors are also encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to local institutions.
