Pontal do Paraná man arrested for assaulting and threatening partner

A 62-year-old man was arrested by Municipal Civil Guard agents in Pontal do Paraná after allegedly assaulting and threatening his 45-year-old partner with death. The incident occurred in the Jacarandá seaside area.

The victim reported being struck with punches and kicks and stated that the man had confiscated her cell phone to prevent her from seeking help. When the guard patrol arrived, the woman attempted to flee the residence, but the man reportedly grabbed her arm to stop her and attempted to attack the officers with punches.

The suspect was detained, handcuffed, and taken to the Delegacia Cidadã. The victim received medical attention at a local emergency unit before being processed by police.
