Ponte de Sor joins BIALE 2027 Biennial in Portugal

The municipality of Ponte de Sor signed a collaboration protocol with ARTMOZ on 17 July, officially joining the Bienal Internacional do Alentejo (BIALE) edition scheduled for 2027. The partnership makes Ponte de Sor part of the BIALE_27 network, under the curatorial theme “EcoCultura,” which extends the biennial’s focus on art, environment and rurality.

The agreement foresees a programme of contemporary‑art activities in the town, including public exhibitions, artist residencies, workshops, lectures and educational projects with schools and local organisations. Between 10 and 15 Portuguese and international artists are expected to present works across painting, sculpture, photography, installation and street art, aiming to decentralise cultural production and promote sustainability and community involvement.
