Ponteareas and As Pontes allocate €350,000 to upgrade sports facilities in Galicia

The municipality of Ponteareas announced a €200,000 grant scheme for 2026 aimed at promoting and supporting sport in the town. The funding is divided into €170,000 for clubs and sports entities, €18,000 for individual athletes, and €12,000 for motor‑sport activities. Applications must be submitted electronically within twenty working days of the announcement and expenses incurred between 1 Oct 2025 and 30 Sept 2026 are eligible.

In nearby As Pontes, the town completed an energy‑rehabilitation of the Polideportivo da Magdalena at a cost of €149,911.99, financed by the regional government and the municipality.
