Ponteareas and Ronda host local excellence and tourism awards

The municipality of Ponteareas held the second edition of the Menina Sarmiento Awards to honor individuals and groups contributing to the local community. Recipients included the Sociedad Deportiva Xuvenil de Ponteareas in sports, the Asociación Adapta for social commitment, and Bopapel, S. L. for business and innovation. Other honors were given for research, culture, and inclusion.

In Ronda, the local government presented the 2026 Puente del Turismo Awards to four entities in the hospitality, wine, and gastronomy sectors: Bodega Doña Felisa Viña Amaya, Hotel Montelirio, La Taberna, and the Feria de la Chacina de Benaoján. This recognition coincides with Ronda reporting over 1.3 million visitors so far in 2026, following a year in 2025 where the city saw more than two million visitors.
