Pontedera and Chiavari prepare for major cosplay festivals

Several pop culture and cosplay events are scheduled across Italian cities in late September 2026. Pontedera will host its sixth edition of Pontedera Cosplay on September 25-26, featuring a fantasy market, parades, and a 'Vespa & Cosplay' event. Additionally, Chiavari will hold the ChiavarInCosplay festival from September 25-27, centered around a one-kilometer 'Red Carpet' and a major cosplay contest.

In Pontedera, local commerce is also a focus. Following a successful commercial festival on September 18, organizers and local associations like Confesercenti are already planning for 2027. Meanwhile, the municipal majority has introduced a motion to the City Council aimed at urban regeneration and protecting local neighborhood shops against commercial desertification.
