Pontedera councilor defends local security measures
In Pontedera, local councilor Vito Bazi has responded to criticisms from the Fratelli d'Italia party regarding urban security. Bazi defended the municipal administration's efforts, noting that they have increased local police personnel by nearly 40% and are expanding the video surveillance system from 125 to over 180 cameras.
Bazi argued that public order and security are responsibilities of the State and the Ministry of the Interior, which is currently led by the same political coalition criticizing the local government. He emphasized that addressing security requires governance rather than slogans.
