Pontedera to expand video surveillance network with 305,000 euro project
The municipality of Pontedera has approved a feasibility project to expand its video surveillance network. The initiative aims to increase the number of cameras from the current 127 to approximately 190, representing a 30% increase in equipment.
The project involves a total investment of 305,000 euros, including VAT. The municipality intends to apply for funding through a Ministry of the Interior call dedicated to urban and road safety. If successful, the local administration plans to contribute 55,000 euros toward the cost.
The planned installations will cover various strategic areas, including the industrial zone of Gello, the city center, the railway station area, the stadium parking lot, and several villages and outskirts.
