Pontevedra expands residential and infrastructure projects

Pontevedra is experiencing significant urban and economic growth, driven by major residential and infrastructure projects. Mayor Miguel Anxo Fernández Lores announced that two new building projects in the Eduardo Pondal area will add 248 homes to the city's residential stock. These developments, promoted by companies linked to Construcuatro, represent an investment exceeding 20 million euros and include amenities such as a communal pool and green spaces.

In addition to residential expansion, the Pontevedra City Council is managing a broad range of public works totaling approximately 33 million euros. Current infrastructure projects include the renovation of water and sanitation services on Casimiro Gómez street, progress on Rúa do Santo in coordination with ADIF, and advanced works on Luís Seoane street. Environmental efforts are also underway, specifically the renaturalization of the Dos Gafos river, which includes wastewater sanitation and the construction of pedestrian walkways.
