Pontificia Universidad Javeriana opens audiovisual medical simulation hub in Bogotá

The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá has inaugurated a high‑fidelity Clinical Simulation Center that integrates advanced audiovisual technology. The immersive facility replicates the lighting, pressure and atmosphere of a complex hospital, featuring large screens, a realistic patient simulator, and authentic monitoring and ventilation equipment. The project was developed in partnership with Avixa, showcasing Colombian‑made technology that meets world‑class standards. The center aims to train future medical professionals by providing realistic, immersive training scenarios that enhance clinical skills and patient safety.

The installation is presented as a reference model for medical education in Colombia, highlighting how digital immersion can directly contribute to saving lives and improving healthcare outcomes.
