Pontypool murder investigation linked to rival biker gangs

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of 56-year-old Anthony Jones, who was found with serious injuries in the Pontnewynydd area of Pontypool on August 6. Jones, a resident of Brecon, later died at The Grange University Hospital.

Senior Investigating Officer Laura Bartley stated that detectives believe the violence involved members of two rival Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs: the Vikings and the Hells Angels. The investigation is described as a “complex and fast-moving murder investigation,” with multiple arrests already made.

Authorities are continuing to seek information regarding the incident, specifically looking for a man from Blaenavon and a blue Ford Transit van with the registration MA23 FLC. Officers are working to establish the movements of those involved before, during, and after the disorder.
