Pooh Shiesty charged in alleged kidnapping and robbery of Gucci Mane

In April 2026, Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty (Lontrell Denell Williams Jr.) was arrested and charged with kidnapping and armed robbery of fellow rapper Gucci Mane during an incident at a Dallas recording studio. Prosecutors allege Shiesty, his father Lontrell Williams Sr., and six other defendants forced Mane to relinquish his 1017 Records contract, seizing cash, jewellery and Rolex watches worth roughly $450,000.

New court‑released video shows Shiesty demanding his release from the label while an armed accomplice points a gun at Mane. Legal filings further allege that Shiesty violated his home‑detention order by receiving “fake day passes” from a Volunteers of America case supervisor, enabling him to travel to the studio. The supervisor is accused of colluding with Shiesty, who also allegedly used drugs and alcohol while on home confinement.

If convicted, Shiesty and his co‑defendants face up to life imprisonment. Prosecutors are seeking to keep Shiesty detained ahead of a trial scheduled for February 2027.
