Pooh Shiesty kidnapping trial postponed to 2027

A federal jury trial involving rapper Pooh Shiesty, his father Lontrell Williams Sr., fellow rapper Big30 and other co‑defendants has been delayed until early 2027. The case stems from a January 2026 kidnapping and robbery of rapper Gucci Mane at a Dallas recording studio, where prosecutors say the victims were held at gunpoint and forced to sign documents while valuables were taken. The trial, originally set for July 2026, was reset to January 11, 2027 (with a pre‑trial conference in February) after a judge found the matter “complex” and granted the defense additional preparation time.

While Pooh Shiesty remains in federal custody, his father and Big30 have been released on bonds of $250,000 and $100,000 respectively. All nine defendants face kidnapping and conspiracy charges that carry potential life sentences if convicted.
