Pooh Shiesty requests improved jail conditions amid legal disputes

Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty is seeking improved living conditions in jail, citing complaints regarding his current confinement. The artist reportedly spends 23 hours a day alone in his cell and receives only two hours of monthly visitation with family and friends.

Prosecutors are opposing the request, arguing that the rapper has access to a tablet for video calls and gaming. They also raised concerns regarding his previous time at a halfway house, alleging he tampered with monitoring equipment and caused disruptions. Furthermore, prosecutors noted that Shiesty allegedly admitted to using fentanyl during a court hearing.

Defense attorney Schaffer has contested the prosecution’s claims, maintaining that the client remains in strict lockdown with no contact except with staff.
