Poor posture harms health; experts outline prevention tips

Experts warn that prolonged screen time and sedentary work often lead to poor posture, creating muscle imbalances that can cause back, neck and shoulder pain. The misalignment may also compress internal organs, affecting digestion, limiting lung expansion and impairing circulation.

These conditions increase the risk of injuries during everyday activities and sports such as tennis, golf, skiing or athletics. To mitigate the effects, specialists recommend maintaining proper spinal alignment, strengthening core muscles, using ergonomically designed workspaces, taking regular movement breaks and avoiding prolonged slouching or uneven weight distribution.
