AMIG Brasil to host National Meeting of Mining Municipalities
The 7th National Meeting of Mining Municipalities, organized by AMIG Brasil (Associação Brasileira dos Municípios Mineradores), is scheduled to take place on November 24 and 25 in Belo Horizonte. The event will be held at the Auditório do Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Minas Gerais (TCE-MG).
The central theme of this year's meeting is ‘The impacts of mineral exploration activity: from the corporate world to the reality in mining municipalities’. The forum aims to bring together public managers, specialists, industry representatives, academia, and civil society to discuss the challenges of the mining sector and its direct effects on local territories.
Discussions will focus on the intersection between corporate strategies, investments, and planning versus the daily reality of municipalities that experience the transformations and impacts generated by mining activities.
