Poços de Caldas City Council honors 120 years of Methodist Church

The Poços de Caldas City Council held a commemorative session to honor the 120th anniversary of the Methodist Church in the municipality. Established in 1906, the institution was recognized for its historical trajectory and its contributions to the social, community, and spiritual development of the region.

During the ceremony, a plaque was presented to Pastor Ezequiel Gonçalves Inácio. The event also honored several individuals for their decades of dedication to the church's religious and social activities. The church's impact includes evangelization and social assistance, specifically through the Methodist Association of Social Action (AMAS), which supports the elderly population.

The initiative was proposed by Councilman Wellington Paulista, who noted that the church serves as an instrument of faith and hope that strengthens families and sows community values.
