Poços de Caldas councilman seeks update on cemetery legislation

Councilman Lucas Arruda has requested information from the Poços de Caldas administration regarding the progress of a bill intended to update the rules for granting and using burial plots in municipal public cemeteries.

The proposed legislation seeks to amend Law No. 2.545/77, which currently regulates the operation of these sites. The update is considered necessary due to the saturation of the Cemitério da Saudade, where no new plots are available for purchase. Arruda is inquiring whether the required legal analysis and necessary adjustments to the proposal have been completed and when the project will be forwarded to the City Council for deliberation.
