Poços de Caldas councilors push for transparency on infrastructure works
Councilor Álvaro Cagnani (PSDB) has submitted several indications and requests to improve rural neighborhoods in Poços de Caldas, citing work such as signage for public equipment, asphalt paving, a new access cable for the Maria Madalena chapel, and the renovation of a sports court in the Zanetti district. He emphasised the need for better roads, school transport access during rain, and infrastructure to support agricultural production.
Councilor Tiago Mafra (PT) has asked the municipal government for detailed information on the decision to carry out night‑time works on the João Pinheiro Avenue revitalisation. His request seeks clarification on contractual provisions, additional costs for lighting, overtime and energy, any required contract amendment under Law 14.133/2021, and the revised schedule for completing the project.
Both councilors stress the importance of legislative oversight to ensure that public works serve residents efficiently and that any changes to contracts are justified and financially transparent.
