Poços de Caldas initiates bidding for smart traffic light system

The City Hall of Poços de Caldas has opened a public bidding process to implement smart traffic light systems. Managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Public Security and Urban Mobility, the initiative aims to modernize traffic management and improve road safety and vehicle flow.

The proposed technology includes traffic light controllers with fixed-time central control and real-time adaptive systems. These smart lights will integrate cameras and artificial intelligence to analyze vehicle and pedestrian volume, allowing for real-time signal adjustments based on demand. The contract covers the supply of controllers, implementation services, technical support, and system training. The deadline for submitting proposals is October 23, 2026.
