Poços de Caldas man shot in domestic dispute

A 41-year-old man was shot in the leg in the Chácara Alvorada neighborhood of Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, on Friday night. According to the Military Police, the shooter was the current partner of the victim's ex-girlfriend.

The victim was reportedly subject to a protective order that prohibited him from approaching the woman. Despite this, he allegedly went to the residence where she was located. The current partner, who had also been previously threatened by the victim, used a .32 caliber revolver to shoot the man.

The bullet transfixed the victim's leg, but he remained conscious and was reported to be in stable condition after being taken to the local Urgent Care Unit (UPA). The shooter fled the scene and has not yet been located. Police noted that even after being shot, the victim continued to send messages to the woman, claiming he would resolve the situation himself without filing a police report.
