Poços de Caldas Municipal Staff Receive First Aid Training
On 16 June, municipal employees of Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, participated in a first‑aid course organized by the Núcleo de Educação em Urgência (NEU) of the local SAMU. The morning program covered emergency response basics such as choking, cardiac arrest, fainting and seizures, and included hands‑on practice with an automated external defibrillator (AED). The training aims to improve rapid, safe assistance by public servants until specialized teams arrive, enhancing safety for both staff and visitors to the legislative building.
The initiative is part of NEU’s ongoing education program, which has previously trained school personnel and other municipal sectors, reinforcing the city’s commitment to health promotion and emergency preparedness.
