Poços de Caldas opens Olympic workers exhibition and launches blood‑donor campaign
The city council of Poços de Caldas inaugurated a photographic exhibition titled “Flash Olímpico 2026: A Câmara na Olimtra” on July 6. Proposed by councilor Álvaro Cagnani, the display showcases images of municipal employees, advisers, interns and councilors who took part in the 46th Workers’ Olympiad (OLIMTRA), highlighting training, competitions and integration activities. The exhibition will remain open to the public in the council chamber’s lobby until July 17.
At the same time, the municipal health department began the sixth edition of the “Poços Doar” blood‑donation campaign. Created by councilor Wellington Alber Guimarães, the initiative aims to counter typical drops in blood‑bank supplies during school holidays. Donations are accepted Monday to Friday (7 am‑11:30 am) and on selected evenings and Saturdays, with eligibility criteria of age 16‑69, minimum weight 50 kg and good health. The campaign seeks to maintain safe blood stocks for regional hospitals.
Both events reflect the city’s effort to promote community health, sports participation and civic pride among its residents.
