Pop-Kultur Festival expands to seven days in Berlin

The 12th Pop-Kultur Festival is taking place in Berlin, spanning seven days from August 24 to August 30, 2026. The event features a diverse lineup across various city districts, including Wedding, Kreuzberg, and Prenzlauer Berg, with venues such as Silent Green, Sinema Transtopia, and Kulturbrauerei.

In collaboration with the Goethe-Institut, the festival is hosting a special program titled ‘Sonic Crossings,’ which focuses on the contemporary pop scene of Central Asia through residencies, concerts, and listening sessions. The musical lineup includes established indie artists like The Notwist and Sophia Kennedy, alongside newcomers such as Jassin and Layla Boem.

Early festival activities included panel discussions and live performances. Recent highlights featured soul artist Ray Lozano performing at Silent Green and a one-night-only performance by a specialized band utilizing synthesizers and samplers.
